President Rob Palis Congratulates Brad Higgs (right) on his appointment as Head Coach for the upcoming 2008/09 season:

The Pitt Meadows Soccer Club announced the appointment of Brad Higgs as its new Head Coach for the upcoming 2008/2009 season. "Our club has been on an extensive search over the past season, which had us receiving resumes from as far away as Sweden." said President Rob Palis. "There were several candidates we interviewed, but with Brad's extensive soccer background, both as a player and as a coach working with kids over the past 30 years in the Lower Mainland, our executive came to the unanimous decision that Brad would be the perfect fit for the direction we have set for our club's future."

Brad played for the Canadian Olympic Soccer Team in 1980 and then followed with two years in the United States playing professional soccer in Wichita, Kansas. Most people will recognize Brad for running his successful soccer schools throughout the lower mainland over the past 30 years.

Brad will start a transition phase into his new position staring March 1st, spending time over the next few months introducing himself to the coaches and players as well as working with existing Head Coach Keith Liddiard. Palis says Liddiard has decided to spend more time with his growing company and will be greatly missed for his dedication and knowledge of the game, which has been a big part of the club's formula for growth and success over the past few years.
