Pitt Meadows Avalanche U13 Bronze - Conference Cup Champions 2006/07

The Pitt Meadows Boys U13 Avalanche won their final cup game to win the cup in their division. The Avalanche had an excellent year, having won all their cup games, as well as finishing two points away from first place in their league. Throughout the year Daniel Anzulovich and Sebastian Rynkowski did a great job in Net allowing only 14 goals against all year. Ryan Hopson and Austin Craft headed up the defense with Mark Osborn, Alex Laforge, and Sean Smith all working very hard stopping opposing team rushes. Mathew Arter, Nick Xiong, Jonathan Eisner, Justin Brain, Mitchell Hole, and Allan Hildering battled hard in the midfield creating many a scoring opportunity. Jake Nielson, Cole Spittle, and Erik Schmidt fought hard up front at Striker and contributed with many great plays allowing the Avalanche to finish with 61 goals for the season. Ed Hildering - Coach, Bryn Wilkinson - Asst Coach

Pitt Meadows United U13 Gold - PMSC Labour Day Tournament Champions 2006/07

Kathleen Acaster, Head Coach of the U-13 United Gold 1 Girls team, told her players (and parents/fans) all throughout the year that, "The season is for practice; it's cup that counts." Here's a recap of the season to date: In the Pitt Meadows Labour Day tournament, the team won gold and in the PoCo Thanksgiving tournament won silver. Although the team was competitive all season through league play, they just couldn't seem to get that elusive point in the win category...until the very last game of the regular season and haven't lost one game since, going into double overtime/shootouts two out of three Coastal A Cup rounds to keep advancing in the single knockout format. Good Luck United!
